Our commitment
Birrieria Tijuana is a family business, and we want every guest to be able to find a location, read our menu, and order a meal, whether they're visiting in person or online. That includes people who are blind or have low vision, are Deaf or hard of hearing, have limited mobility, or have cognitive or learning disabilities.
We are committed to making birrieriatijuana.org accessible and usable for everyone, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Washington Law Against Discrimination (RCW 49.60).
The standard we follow
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), as the benchmark for this website. We also look to the newer WCAG 2.2 guidelines as we make updates.
Our current status is partially conformant: most of the site meets WCAG 2.1 AA, and the areas we know fall short are listed under Known limitations below. We'd rather tell you that plainly than claim a perfect score.
What we've done
- Every page has a "Skip to main content" link and uses clear headings and page regions so screen reader users can move around quickly.
- The whole site works with a keyboard alone, including the mobile menu, which keeps focus inside it while open and closes with the Escape key.
- A visible gold outline shows where keyboard focus is at all times.
- Photos have text descriptions. Our location map is backed by a full text list of every address, phone number, and directions link directly below it.
- Every form field has a visible label, and form errors and confirmations are announced to screen readers.
- Text and buttons are designed to meet WCAG contrast ratios, and color is never the only way information is shown.
- Pages reflow to a single column and stay usable when zoomed up to 400%.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, scroll effects and animations are turned off automatically.
- An accessibility menu (below) lets you adjust text and display settings without extra software.
The accessibility menu
Open it from "Accessibility" in the menu on phones and tablets, or from the "Accessibility Menu" link at the bottom of any page. You can:
- Increase text size in three steps
- Turn on high contrast
- Underline and highlight every link
- Switch to a simpler, easier-to-read typeface
- Increase line, letter, and word spacing
- Stop all animations and motion
- Use a larger mouse pointer
Your choices are saved in your browser on this device only; we never receive them. The menu is an extra convenience. It doesn't replace the screen readers, magnifiers, and browser settings you already use, and the site is built to work with those on its own.
Known limitations
- Third-party ordering. Online orders are placed through DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats. We don't control the accessibility of those apps and websites. If one of them is hard to use, call any location and we'll take your order by phone.
- Maps and directions. Directions links open Google Maps, which is operated by Google. Every address is also written out in plain text on our Locations page.
- Social media. Posts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are managed on those platforms, and some older videos may not have captions.
We're working on these where we can, and we welcome suggestions.
Other ways to get help
You never have to use the website to get what you need. Call any of our seven locations and a team member can read you the menu, answer questions about ingredients and allergens, and take your order. For catering, call (323) 519-9756.
Service animals are always welcome in our restaurants.
Report a problem
If something on this site is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us. It helps to include:
- The page address (URL) or name of the page
- What you were trying to do and what went wrong
- The browser and any assistive technology you were using, if you're comfortable sharing
Reach us through our contact form or by calling your nearest location. We aim to respond within five business days and will work with you to provide the information or service another way while we fix the problem.
How we review the site
This site was reviewed through self-evaluation, including keyboard-only testing, screen reader checks, automated scanning, and contrast measurement. We re-check pages when we add or change content. This statement was last reviewed on September 18, 2026.
